To be honest, I haven't had the time to work much on Moxie. I did, indeed, make the spiffy new layout you see, which I was hoping would motivate me to do more, which it has. I just want to be honest that I'm rather unsure as to when Moxie'll be ready for prejoin. I was thinking/hoping for Feb. 6th, but I have so much not done, I don't see that date working out. I want to expand our deck selection a bit more. I'm also unsure about how to handle event puzzle decks, which has added to my hesistation.

For now, know that I'm ever slowly working. I will be sure to email all those interested as soon as I have a definate date set. Again, please comment with your name & email address if you'd be interested. I'd also love to hear if you have any particular requests for artists/models you'd like to see as decks. Thanks for your patience (& interest). =D

I'm going to make myself a list of things I want to get done before I'm ready for prejoin. I'll edit this as I go. :D

Decks: At least 25 decks. (15/25)
Specials: At least 3 special decks. (2/3)
Games: At least 12 months worth of games.
Forums: Forum installed.
Forms: All forms up and running.
Badges: At least 3 sets of level badges. (2/3)

If, per chance, you are interested in joining, please leave a comment with your email! I'd like to make a temp member list for my reference. :D Then I can let anyone know when we're ready for prejoin. ^_^

[Edit 12/20/08] Bleargh! Work has been so insane, I haven't had time to do very much with Moxie (or anything else for that matter)! I've only made one more deck since the 10th, although I did flesh out the Info page a good deal more. After Christmas things should be calmer. I'm hoping for a mid January/early February prejoin, so keep your eyes peeled! <3

Welcome to Moxie, a pin-up tcg! Or what will eventually be Moxie. This tcg is under heavy, heavy construction, and I have no real idea when it'll be ready for prejoin. In any case, let me tell you a bit about what I have in mind for Moxie.


  • My definition of pin-ups includes the typical pin-up illustrations, such as Gil Elvgren's, as well as pin-upesque models, such as Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell. I do intend to eventually have decks featuring more contemporary pin-up models, such as Dita von Teese, but these will be dependent on the quality of pictures.
  • I will not shy away from resque images. There may be nipples, bare breasts, suggestive poses, etc. These things are a part of the pin-up culture. So let's all be adult about it.
  • Decks will be puzzle decks. This is partly due to the subject matter: puzzle decks let the images be larger, and shows the true quality of the art off. The limited number of quality scans/photographs will be somewhat limiting for "typical" decks; puzzle decks prevents this problem. The other reason: I happen to seriously love puzzle decks. I find them more fun to collect.

  • Decks will consist of 25 cards, each at 65 x 85 pixels.

  • Moxie will be a fairly laid back game, as well as a fairly basic tcg. There will be games (weekly, biweekly, and monthly) as well as a forum, but the pace will be somewhat slow.
